Chihway Chang is an observational cosmologist who uses cosmological surveys to constrain the content and evolution of the Universe. The primary tools she uses are optical surveys such as the Dark Energy Survey (DES) and the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). She is also preparing for data from the Large Synoptics Survey Telescope (LSST) when it becomes available. Chihway is experienced in weak gravitational lensing measurements, and cross-correlating them with other probes [e.g. the CMB, large-scale structure] to constrain cosmology. She is also familiar in working with large datasets (galaxy surveys, radio surveys, simulations) and is constantly experimenting with the different software tools to handle data and new statistical approaches to maximize the information extracted from them.
